Anjou-villages brissac appellation reds are classic, long-lived wines, ideal for anyone looking for gourmet flavours and the expert touch. Meanwhile, coteaux de l'aubance whites are sweet and elegant, reflecting the quintessential Douceur Angevine.

The winemakers of the appellations Anjou-Villages-Brissac and Coteaux-de-l'aubance offer you a hike on the hills of Denée just a few minutes from Angers! A hilly hike to discover the different terroirs that make the richness of these two appellations.

Itinerary:

1.
You begin your walk from the village of Denée and you walk along the old ramparts of the city before joining the Angevin vineyard. The ascent of the first slopes allows you to admire the view of Savennières, Angers and Rochefort-sur-Loire. You will enjoy Anjou wines with culinary specialties.

2.
You continue your walk in the vineyards and you cross a place called La Jarretière to reach your second stopping point, Les Gabouchons where extends the largest wine area of Denée. A geo-sensory tasting awaits you in the heart of the vineyards, with some homemade bites.

3.
Going back down hillsides, you discover the Saint-Joseph chapel and you follow the fields of cultures to reach your third stopping point. You enjoy a wine of the appellation with local confectionery in the heart of the vineyards. Before returning to the VVR village , you take bucolic paths through the groves of Denée.

At the end of your walk, all the winemakers welcome you to the VVR village. At the rhythm of a group of music animating the village, you can feast with the foodtruck L'Arbre à galettes, the catering meal Gasté and the delicacies "Du chocolat plein les doigts". Registrations for the catering meal on site are made at the Loire Layon Aubance Tourist Office at 02.41.78.26.21 and at accueil@loire-layon-aubance-tourisme.com. Traiteur Gasté's hikers' meal tray consists of a fresh starter, a dish with rillauds, cold roast, chips, cheese and a fruit tart for dessert for 12 € / person.

Wine tasted during the hike will be available for sale and children will enjoy the wooden games.

Picnics are allowed.
