With its outstanding terroir shaped by the Loire and backed by centuries of winemaking expertise, vouvray produces a varied range of authentic, inimitable white wines from just one grape variety - Chenin.

The vintners of the Vouvray appellation offer you a journey between town and vineyard just a few minutes from Tours! A walk in a typical and preserved landscape that will exalt your taste buds and your pupils.

Itinerary:

1.
You begin your walk from the heart of the small town of Parçay-Meslay before reaching the vineyards. Your first stop is animated by Philippe and Vincent Gasnier, of the eponymous estate, who make you visit their cellar and explain to you the different stages of the vinification. A tasting of dry white wine with homemade bites awaits you.

2.
Continue your walk in the vineyards where the ascent of a hill gives you a remarkable point of view on the castle of Armuseries and on the vineyard. Then you head for your second stop point by following wine trails unknown to the general public. The winemakers explain the different techniques of leaf removal around a glass of Vouvray demi-sec, with local bites.

3.        Then you walk along the forest to reach your third stop. This break is an opportunity to discover the troglodyte houses and enjoy a mellow Vouvray with a culinary specialty. Finally, you end your walk by trails between vineyards and city.

At the end of your walk, all the winemakers welcome you to the VVR village. A music group livens up the village and you can feast on local artisan products, a truck of fouées and a foodtruck. Wine tasted during the hike will be available for sale and children will enjoy the games.

Picnic space is available.
